About

I think the best educational content developers see themselves as learners before teachers.

I’ve learned about educational publishing by working full-time in the field and by doing freelance projects for over eight years. I’ve learned how to be a better teacher from my  ESL/EFL students in the United States and abroad. They’ve shown me how to make educational resources come alive in the classroom.

In college my official major was French, but I also studied linguistics, literature, world history, political science, environmental science, sociology, and math. My M.A. is in Applied Linguistics/TESOL with additional coursework in computer science.

Because of my broad liberal arts education, I am confident working in a variety of subject areas. My experience conducting graduate-level research has given me the investigative skills I need to strengthen my expertise on a topic when necessary.
